Bio – James Alley

A proud descendent of the Kuku Yalanji and Kalkadoon people of Far North and North West Queensland, James Alley has  cemented a name for himself as a leader in Indigenous engagement and communications.
Throughout his career, James has led a number of successful Indigenous participation projects in the community services sector and construction industry, and was engaged as a Strategic Partnership Broker at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland (CCIQ) to implement the Federal Government’s education reform and social inclusion agenda.

Prior to launching AJA Solutions, James worked in the public sector for nearly 20 years, where he held various management and leadership roles and was involved in major policy reforms relating to Indigenous issues.  He has also been involved in the development and management of several government projects and programs, and has provided high level strategic advice on a broad range of policy, planning and stakeholder engagement initiatives regarding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people/communities.

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Small Business Management
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Master of Arts in Indigenous Social Policy
  • Diploma of Health Science (Aboriginal Community Development)
